Does anyone have any opinions on the relative strengths and weaknesses of the planning programs at USC, UCLA, and Penn? The buzz I hear is that all are good programs but it is really hard to compare these apples and oranges. I come from an environmental and policy background, and would like to maintain that focus, but I would like to be able learn more about the design aspects of urban planning. I'm also interesred in understanding urban planning issues outside of the US. Finally I would like to know if anyone has an opinion on how an urban education might differ (and how important that is) between California and the northeast? Thanks.
