Stats on population thresholds for new schools and hospitals

I am searching for resources to guide the development of a growth model. What I'm looking for specifically are statistics on the number of households, or the population, per school and per hospital. Are there accepted thresholds for facility planning purposes that trigger the need for a new school or hospital? National data would be useful. Florida data would be even better.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

The Bureau of Economic and Business Research (BEBR) at the University of Florida can also be helpful.

    Gis

I am doing a project similar to Michael's using GIS to figure out the need of new hospitals in a specific region. Some ideas on where I can find Texas data would help me a great deal.
