    I might need glasses?

Well I guess all those long nights in front of a computer in college is finally taking it’s toll on my eyes... Ok being up until 3 or 4 drinking happened too.

Last week during class presentations I noticed that it was getting difficult to see the screen. Well I have also noticed that things on TV are not as clear as they should be. Oh and driving at night reading the street signs are not as easy as it should be.

So I have an appointment this morning to get my eyes checked, and maybe buy glasses.

What style of glasses would you recommend?
Invest in the things today, that provide the returns tomorrow.

Something that suits the shape of your head I should think.

I had all the symptoms you describe and found I needed glasses at about 29. I'm happy that, at 44, I still don't need bifocals.

I like small, roundish glasses without frames. The lighter weight the better as I hate them slipping down my nose as I go from monitor to desk top.

I wear wire rim w/ thin plastic lens that are multifocal.

Side note: my health plan offers yearly checks w/ $10 copay.

As a glasses wearer since I was 7, the best suggestion I have is to spend the extra (lots extra) money and get nikon ICE lenses. They are the clearestr things i've ever worn, and have remained scratch free and clear for over a year.

Other suggestions, while small lenses are fashionable, they make seeing things at the periphery a bit harder. You probably don't have the same concerns I do, as i am blind without my specs.

I see you in something individualistic. Maybe red plastic cat-eye frames with rhinestones. Don’t be afraid to make a statement.

Big Owl - I thought those were from the Bootsy Collins Collection.

M'ski - I think you are right about posting your picture and "going to regret this later."

What a photoshop op. Darn I am sad that I don't know how to do it!

You have one of those faces that will take many different styles and look just fine.
Depends on whether to want to make a statement with your glasses or you want to have them blend into your face.

If trying to blend, use the 10 ft rule. Step back 10 feet and see if theyare noticable.
If you feel funky and want to make a statement go with something cute and funky.
Let us know what you decide.
It is all a matter of perspective!!!

I got myself black rimmed glasses when my eyes rejected my contacts recently. I wanted them to be noticeable.

Edit: The "funky" versace" is similar to what I wear now.

Couldn't have said it better myself! If you blend, go conservative with something like the brown Ralph Laurens. If you want funky, Versace is for you baby!

The Versaces look very similar to my new glasses (Guccis).

Lasik/contacts....I hate my glasses..they look fine, thats not the prob...they make me dizzy, I cannot stand having them on my face for long periods of time...try some out but I suggest gas permiable lenses...they help stabalize your vision..

Once again you are not alone. The same thing is happening to me too. But I'm not posting any photo of me.
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone
