So I have to introduce myself eh?

Hey, my name is Austin, from Irvine, California. I found this site a few hours ago, while I was flipping through some webpages about 'green building' and 'green development.' I'm a recent graduate, looking into the planning and the development field, and thought forum reading could give me some ideas in terms of career and opportunities. So far, there seems to be incredible information and people here. Rock on.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    Welcome from sunny central Texas!

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

    Hello from Houston!

It's not the same neighborhood as Suburb Repairman, but it's the same great state of TEXAS!

    I'm sure it's nicer in Austin/Irvine

Welcome from a development control planner in Australia. Yea, Irvine just near the airport where us Aussies have to fly in all the time for USA entry. Just love those queues at the immigration and customs. Just about need a tent and sleeping bag in those airport queues!

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

Welcome! Green building is not discussed here all that often, but my perception is that it is becoming more mainstream. We can hope so, anyway.
