Their survey of four sports at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens shows competitors were more likely to win their contests if they wore red uniforms or red body armor.

"Across a range of sports, we find that wearing red is consistently associated with a higher probability of winning," report Russell A. Hill and Robert A. Barton of the University of Durham in England. Their findings are in Thursday's issue of the journal Nature.

Red coloration is associated with aggression in many animals. Often it is sexually selected so that scarlet markings signal male dominance.

Just think of the red stripes on the scowling face of the male Mandrill, Africa's largest monkey species. But red is not exclusively a male trait. It's the female black widow spider that is venomous and displays a menacing red dot on her abdomen......

There is love. It is a total-unconditional-acceptance-kind of love, just no hope.

Perhaps the Royals should change from blue unis to red? Nah, then they might actually be able to compete with the Cardinals.

    The Chefs?! NUTS!

Everyone knows that Orange and Blue inspires superiority... (or has that been medicraty lately)

    Still Go Broncos! Booo Chiefs!
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

I am a BRONCOS, UT State Aggies (Go Big Blue) and a CU (real men wear Black and Gold) fan
    and
Z man - I truely dislike that team at the north end of the Hoosier State,
can't even bear to say their name, ND cough, choke,

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

el Guapo is on an airplane. He has a gun. During the flight he discovers that Osama Bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, and Anas Al-Liby (all on the FBI's Most Wanted list) are among the passengers along with noted celebrities Rush Limbaugh, Nanci Palosi, Katie Couric and John Elway. el Guapo only has two bullets. Who does he shoot?

el Guapo shoots John Elway twice.

Well New England has red in their logo, so does Boston...

My point exactly. Had it not been for Mr. & Mrs. Elway getting busy in 1959 the Chiefs would be the New York Yankees of football. A dynasty I tell ya.

John Elway took more games away from the Chiefs in the fourth quarter than his skills and statistics would allow for. It is like he was touched by the hand of God when he played the Chiefs. He was good. That's what pisses us Chief fans off the most.

I know, and we're truly sorry. At least KC is the second most hated team in Denver. I'm sure you and I could find common ground in hating the (J)oakland Raiders. Remember that in Montana and Elway's last game against eachother, the Chiefs took a game from us at Mile High. (There you go, a free memory )

Oh and third most hated team in Denver, the Red Wings (sorry Skis and Bear).

You speaking of race horse jockeys?

Ohh. I realized what was being said and the source as I wrote the jockey statement...
You're talking about jockeys of a two wheel, carbon-fiber horse?
