    Land of Confusion

Stuart, Fl (sorry for the small pics)

Thought this town was pretty cool on my recent visit. Stuart is located off route 1, a major corridor crammed with strip malls and the like. Although the town could use some traffic calming it is a nice oasis from the sprawl surrounding it. There really aren't that many traditional towns in florida to begin with and those that have survived intact are rare. I think Stuart is slated for some New Urbanism but I'm not sure. Everything was one story and I thought taller buildings would add to the street scape but it really wouldn't be a Florida typology (my NE bias). If you want to get a better view check these out in the gallery as thius is my first pic post and i f'ed it up good.
