St. Louis Union Station, Downtown Gallery

St. Louis Union Station is one of the largest and grandest Union Stations in the World. Still today, this station hustle and bustles for St. Louisans, visitors and tourist alike.
I hope you all enjoy my photo gallery (large) of this fantastic and awe-inspiring Grand Station! St. Louis Union Station is located in downtown St. Louis just west of the Gateway Arch.
    Enjoy! Comments appreciated!
    Come explore the city!

The station is certainly a great building, but hardly a success. The mall is struggling, and almost exclusively caters to tourists. The most interesting thing to do there was sit with a cup of coffee and watch the Hooters girls as they came in to work. As it has done with other buildings, St. Louis has turned the station into a "monument in a park." Why does the city think that it cannot have other buildings near some of its great architecture? The gaps between buildings are unfriendly even in the daytime, and there is no street life, especially at night.

So... is it a station, or a tourist-trap mall that looks strikingly similar to West Edmonton Mall? I don't really get it.

Union Station is used today as an entertainment structure - as most are in the USA since rail traffic went poopoo.

However, Union Station does get served by three rail lines - Rail Cruise America excursions (both outbound to the west and Chicago and eveing dinner trains), Northwest Orient Express Trains (excursion line) and METRO rail service (city rail serice)

Amtrak (Govn't) won't pay to come into U.S. so they come in behind it currently.
