I hear that we only get better with age. Well, in some things.

Anyway, have a good one. Cheers.

Time warp -- it is still the 6th of June in my time zone. But don't let that stop you -- my birthday is the only time I get to be an Attention Monger and not get treated like a Weirdo for it.

If I were still on the east coast, I would say happy birthday to you right now. But where I am now, as for you too, isn't far enough east for me to technically wish you a happy birthday, so I won't at this time.

So I should wait a few hours to wish you a happy birthday?

Okay -- it is now after midnight here and Officially June 7th in my time zone. And I have been gipped: I updated my profile a few weeks ago to show that I am turning 400 today and it doesn't say that!

Foul! No fair! I want to announce that I am 400 (like my yahoo profile says, ). Then everyone can ask me if I am a vampire or something (I certainly have the Pale Skin for it ) and I can reply "Yes -- and I have to drink the blood of a virgin before midnight tonight to stay so young and beautiful looking and not show my age".

(Yes, I am stealing the script from "Once Bitten" )

So it is. Happy Birthday MZ. My Personology book says June 7 is the Day of the entertainer. You turn 401 today, and Prince turns 47. I like Fred Armisen's spoof of Prince on SNL. Do something special for you and your twin.

Oh, don't make me OLD: I am not 401. I am only 400. Pay attention!

As for "doing something special": I had a baby the day after I turned 382. He will be 18 tomorrow. For several years, I spent my birthday baking HIS birthday cake. (My other son was born on my 5th wedding anniversary. I went around telling people "My husband is too cheap to buy me anything."* )

*Some people have NO sense of humor and were just mortified at that comment -- as if someone could actually PLAN to have their kids born on specific days like that. Sheesh.

Happy Birthday to an old bat (playing off the vampire theme here)

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

Happy b-day MZ! Being as this is your b-day, I suppose this means you'll treat us all to a 5 page essay on your astrological sun sign?
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Hmmm. Anna Kournikova turns 24 today and MZ turns 400. Coincidence? I think not.

Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.

Happy Birthday from a fellow Gemini!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
