what's wrong with the off-topic tags

    Off-topic:
I just noticed that if I used the off-topic tags ( [ ot ]....[ /ot ] ) my text in the post on the thread becomes a left-side column about 3 words wide.

Just thought I'd make you aware, if you already didn't know.

as shown here in this post
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

    I have noticed this too.

Also, when clicking on longer threads (like the Random thoughts thread in the FAC), it no longer takes you to the last post.
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

I have been wondering the same thing.
    Moderator note:
And the mod tags have the same problem.

We are aware of the problem and awaiting the Great Leader's intervention to make things right again.

We're still having some problems with a few of the tags. I'm working to straighten them out now, and hopefully they'll be back to normal before the end of the night. vBulletin 3.5 beta and all ...

Aww what happened to the vaguely psychedelic mod tag... Now its foreboding grey. I looked here yesterday and it was all colourful and swirly.

In addition to the off-topic option I'm having trouble using the "Bold, insert link, and underline" buttons.

I'm sure others aren't working for me but I haven't tried them.

    Help.

I was having trouble editing a post the other day. Haven't tried it recently but maybe I will here just to see what happens.
It is all a matter of perspective!!!

I had the same problem with "Edit" yesterday. Nothing happens when you submit it.

For now, hit the "Edit" button again after you get the quick edit message field.

What I have been experiencing is that if you hit Edit and try to edit in the first screen it give you, it accomplishes nothing. But if you hit Edit a second time, it brings you to a differently formatted screen and you can edit there -- if that explanation makes any sense. But I just got online so I haven't tried to edit anything today.

Not related to the off-topic tags but realted to "something wrong".....I seem to have lost my SUBMIT REPLY button. I have to reply to somebody else's specific post to reply. I tend to be an idiot with these kinds of things so I probably hit a wrong button somewhere.

    Help me, oh great Leader.

    Bear

Never mind. I re-booted and now all is OK in the land of Bear.

I was noticing last night that some old posts with mod notes or OT notes have had the contents of those notes replaced with the number 4.

    I know.

As long as the forums still use 3.5 Beta 3, you'll still get the number 4. It's a bug, and I don't have the programming skills to fix it. Let's see what happens when Beta 4 is released.

Upgraded to vB3.5 beta 4. Looks like the editing bug is fixed.
