So who will be attending? On-line registration has opened. Hotel reservations are also available on-line (Susan, get on that for me, will ya?). I'll be in St. Petersburg, September 7-10. And you?

I'll be there. Your all going down in pool (face first)![]()
Oh wait, I forgot that transportation planners are not allowed to attend APA conferences![]()

Not in this year's budget, Weedhopper. Unless you can talk Dan into sharing his room with you. Me? I'm sleeping with my golf clubs. Hahahahaha, good luck. You're on your own.Originally posted by Rumpy Tunanator

My request to go is working its way up the chain of command.
Well, it looks like I have to go to a 3 day housing workshop the 12th thru the 15th so it does not look good for me to come over for the whole conference. But I possibily could come over on Thursday or Friday for those staying into the weekend.
Golf clubs??? I've never heard it called that before.Originally posted by RichmondJake

Hey RJ, if you are not too busy with your golf clubs, the Devil Rays are in St. Pete for a three game series staring 9/9 with the Blue Jays. Maybe the crew would like to go to the ball park for a game? What do you think?Originally posted by RichmondJake

Hey gal, I'm all over that. Let's go!!!! Great idea; thanks for checking the schedule (RJ, wearing his Giants lid). Our mutual friend, who does not like baseball, can stay in the hotel room and read a book.Originally posted by sisterceleste

Attendance is so low at these games, we can most likely just buy tickets at the ball park the day of the game and not hassle with ticket master, etc.Originally posted by RichmondJake

I've seen them on FOX tv....can I still wear my Giants lid?Originally posted by sisterceleste

Unh-huh. I do believe I was the one who mentioned the possibility of going to a game when you were down a few weeks ago. Or maybe you meant your golf clubs??Originally posted by RichmondJake

You have to understand that putting up with each other wearing the hat of the most opposed, hated team is about all we can handle at one game. Throwing in another National League opponet that we both dislike is more than we can most likely deal with coupled with consumption of alcohol.Originally posted by Zoning Goddess

You are right...we are very serious about this. Allegiance to a baseball team is holy stuff.Originally posted by Zoning Goddess

All righty, I must get a Phillies hat! I do love Philadelphia.
Anyway, one of my work cohorts and I have told our bosses that they are going to send us to the conference. So, I will put that request in. Of course, I have to join APA again. Darn it.
Can't wait to see y'all there!
I have no answer for that. I don't get it.Originally posted by sisterceleste
Do the Doyers have a team this year? The Big guy will be back. Be worried, Doyers.Originally posted by sisterceleste
Of course you don't. You're a gurl. Go read a book. SC and I will be at the ballpark.Originally posted by ZG

Hey RJ, we'll let her come as long as she promises not to say stupid "gurl" stuff like..."This is such a boring game...all they do is stand out there and wait for the ball".Originally posted by RichmondJake
