Quick Question On Rules of Thumb

In grad school we had these large design and engineering books aimed at planners, architects, and engineers on general guidlines of how to build and design common things like sewers, and water pipe slopes, road slopes and so forth.

What was the name of those books?

    Thanks.

While i am sure this isn't what you are talking 'bout, i'm curious of the titles as well.

I beleive in the appendix of Lynch's Site Planning has some of what you are talking about.

I have a book like that: "Land Development Handbook", Dewberry & Davis, available at the APA Bookstore.

He He, Now THERE is an IDEA!

We could give it out to developers, buisnessmen and homeowners alike!

    1 part history
    1 part info
1 part glowing description of our politicians (so we can keep our jobs)
1 part scathing rebuke of residents
2 part scathing rebuke of business and development
1 part cynicism just for kicks!

Replace "cynicism" with "sarcasm" and you can combine those two sections.
