    Hi from Albany

I'm a recent transplant to Albany, by way of France and DC. Am not working a "real" job right now, only temp, with the hopes that one day soon something to help the resume will come along.
Looking into masters in planning for next fall.

Welcome aboard from an exile of NYS. I lived in Buffalo, just to the west of you down the 90.

My brother is currently residing in Albany. Nice city, if you could drown all the rats there (politicians).

Grab a and have a good time.
A guy once told me, "Do not have any attachments, do not have anything in your life you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat around the corner."

    Welcome from SW Indiana.
I spent 2 summers north of you, between Long Lake and Tupper Lake, many, many long time ago.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

It's getting like we have almost as many Albanians as Floridians around here.

Greetings, from the southeastern Adirondack foothills.
All these years the people said he’s actin’ like a kid.
He did not know he could not fly, so he did.

Welcome from the Washington DC metro area
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

    Hello from Houston!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Welcome from just north of the Alamo City!

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I believe that Albany was the location of conception of the being that grew to become Cyburbia. Dan may either confirm or deny this. Welcome and in the time honored tradition, I implore you to post hard.... post often.... don't take it personal. Enjoy.
