How do I know if an overseas company is legit?

Our daughter wants to take some courses with this TEFL International. Its a school to teach english as a second language without speaking any other language. (Think Stripes "da do run run run da do run run"). She wants to take the classes in Italy and teach in Japan.

Does anyone know how I can find out if this company is legit? I checked the United States Better Business Bureau website and there had been complaints against them but not much details. Just that some were resovled and others weren't.

Just kidding. I seriously wouldn't know where to suggest to look. I would compare the negative responses with the good. See where that falls, or see if there are any other programs offered by different companies or organizations that are reputable.

The other choice is to take a long relaxing holiday in Italy to check them out personally. What more could a body ask for?
