At some point we'll need to reduce the time for picks, in order to finish the draft before the season starts.
My suggestion, reduce the clock to 6 hours in Round 8, and down to 2 or 4 hours from Round 12 on....
Thoughts?

Sounds good. I would stop the clock overnight though!
From the flight deck, ladies and gentlemen, be sure your seatbacks and tray tables are in the upright positions and your seatbelts are securely fastened, we'll be speeding this puppy up in order to bring her in as an on-time arrival.
(Yeah, it's been a long day ...)
Round 8 sounds good to me.
I have seen

like swans asleep
30 minutes to pick, starting right now.![]()
Seriously, I am for the NHPlanner's plan. Even if he likes the Patsies...![]()

Yep. That's what we've done in previous years...

You know, there is a trash-talking thread around here somewhere...
Shorten the clock.....please.......I like 4 hours.....8AM to 10PM open.....![]()
Its no wonder the Patsies could win two in a row in this milk toast environment known as today's NFL![]()

I am for anything that would get this draft moving faster than it's already going.

Ditto, although we're still a long ways away from opening day. It just sucks having to wait so long between picks.Originally posted by Planderella
I am ALL for this idea. Starting with Round 8 would be fine by me.Originally posted by The One
It's the price of oil, the war of the spoils, where's your bucket for the big bailout? Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, we've got a lot to drink about!.
I saw in the South Rd. 10 thread that somebody was on the clock until 4:06 AM. I thought the clock was suspended overnight since we went to a 6 hour clock. Having to pick between 10:06 PM and 4:06 AM hardly seems fair.

The clock gets suspended at night once we reach a 4 hour clock as pointed out in this post from the commish:Originally posted by MD Planner

Did the draft clock completely suspend after this morning?? No one has made a pick all afternoon.
