    Designing for happiness

So..we design cities based on zoning laws, architectural design guidelines, historical precedent, automobiles, retail storefronts, etc...but has anyone here ever thought about designing for happiness?

It almost seems rhetorical...but it is easy to lose sight of. Especially when you consider GNP doesn't work so well.

The idea for this came about from the idea of Gross National Happiness, rather
than just GNP. From the country of Bhutan.
