New to Planning, NH town alternate

I noticed NHPlanner from Londonderry seems like a regular poster, which will definitely be a plus.

I'm a bit further north and near the Vermont border, and I'm very interested in politics, and want to serve the public. I've had several public sector jobs before, including for the US Dept of Veteran's Affairs, the US Marine Corps (ooh-rah) and the United Nations.

I know very little about planning, but I got a large binder and a book on NH Planning Law from the town, and am enjoying reading it.

I am pretty handy with Robert's Rules, though, which will help.

Are there state oriented resources on this site?

I have no clue about NH planning. Nevertheless, welcome from the Florida panhandle.

Hello from Houston! Despite what you may hear, we DO have planners here.

However, soon I won't be one of them. I'm headed to Irving in 2 Weeks - yippee!

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    welcome

Welcome from a little south of you- MA. You may want to sit on one of the planning related boards in the vermont, NH area. Roberts Rules, zoning laws-- they love that.

    best,

    Stephen

As a former NH planner, I have to say that the NH Planners Association and the NH Municipal Association are two great resources.

You should also schedule a mind meld with NHPlanner as soon as conveniently possible.

    And, welcome!

NHPlanner is definately a great guy to contact. He would be an exceptional resource to tap into.

    Welcome from the DFW Metroplex.

    Welcome from NW Ohio.

My late Father was a Marine, stationed in the Pacific islands, during World War II, as our troops jumped from island to island on their way toward Japan.

You will find the various Forums on Cyburbia are quite informative. Enjoy Cyburbia.
