    PLANetizen subforum closed

PLANetizen recently completed a switchover to Drupal, an open source slashblog-type content management system. PLANetizen looks great with the CMS. Unfortunately, with the change to a new CMS, the link to the PLANetizen forum on Cyburbia that used to be included in all article summaries was removed. The only links on PLANetizen to Cyburbia are now buried deep within the site, so it is unlikely anyone will ever find the forum, much less know it exists.

Because the PLANetizen forum is unlikely to see any activity again, it is now closed to new posts. Existing threads will eventually be retitled and moved to other subforums.

All old messages from the PLANetizen subforum have been moved into other subforums; mostly in the Planning and the Built Environment group. All moved threads will have (from PLANetizen forum).in the title. More interesting threads that, IMHO, deserve a little bit more love have been bumped.

Cyburbia will still continue to be a proud supporter of PLANetizen, of course, carrying news feeds on the front page and in the Kiosk, and hopefully working on other projects in the future.
