Our town is looking to create an office/hotel overlay zoning district on a portion a major commercial corridor. The area was developed in the 1950's with small industrial buildings that supported on now closed down aircraft manufacturing plant and is zoned for light industrial use. The plan is to permit hotels and/or offices within the overlay district at a greater height/density than currently permitted with the antiquated zoning of the area in an effort to stimulate redevelopment.We are looking for similar ordinance or guidelines that will help in devising performance standards for the district(ie minimum lot area/parking requirements...).
