Adaptive reuse of inner city movie theaters

I am currently pursuing my undergrad thesis in the redevelopment of 6 architecturally significant movie theaters in the Over-The-Rhine and West End neighborhoods of Cincinnati. I am concentrating on the adaptive re-use of the theaters as a way to encourage redevelopment and reinvestment in the surrounding distressed areas.

I will be exploring everything from the urban design of the facades and the surrounding area, to the implementation process of such a plan.

I would be extremely grateful if anyone can recommend resources or examples of this type of redevelopment. Please email me with your help or comments.

    Thanks!
