I am involved with a young planner's organisations in Australia and am interested in finding out what other student and graduate planners' organisations exist and what types of things they do (ie activities, forums, initiatives, etc). Thanks.

I am involve in both the National and State Planning Associations. One of the major proponents from the national standpoint is the Planning Student Organizations (PSO). Each Planning dept. or school sets up their own student organization that is linked to the state and national organizations. This has been a slow process, but it is picking up and we are growing as a student body.
I am the co-president of the PSO here at UNC-Chapel Hill,
and we have been trying to get information on what other
PSO's have been/are doing. Anyone out there have any
comments?
I am the outgoing president of the Student Planning
Association at the University of Oklahoma in the
Regional & City Planning Division (Graduate Program)
Our organization has been closely invloved with our state
chapter assisting with the State & Regional Planning
Conferences. Students also organize a monthly luncheon
with a guest speaker (usually a professional planner or related field)
and until recently, published the state planning newsletter.
We also raise funds to send students to state, regional, & national planning conferences
