Hi Dan, thanks for setting up a temporary shelter! and El Guapo too!

If it wasn't for you guys we'd all be wandering cyberspace looking for our planner friends and a friendly place to post!

So is the SOB who hacked us toast yet?

Thanks guys! I even checked the Houston boards to get a planning fix.

    Jen,
Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between an attack and incompetence - this was the latter.

ah... nothing more pleasant that a Cyburbia fix!

Now... sh*t happens so let's not blame a hacker attack unfoundedly, although it is suspicious because users and posts were being deleted progresively. When I was posting on a thread I noticed that Chet, PG, and nerudite were as guests; and by the time I wanted to post my reply the thread was already gone. My user account dissapeared after lunch I believe... Which is strange because if the database was corrupted due to what Dan explains, why were users deleted in a progresive way? If it was just a db corruption everything corrupted would have dissapeared instantly, and another strange thing is that at least what I saw, only the major posters dissapeared, other low post users remained...

Oh well, it's good to know you're all ok

We could do a MSN group list or something just in case the sh*t hits the fan again :P

If anybody is interested... my msn is: social_aphelion@hotmail.com

I have been going through some serious withdrawal. I have not known what to do in the morning when I get to the office. Usually, the first thing is to check the e-mail and Cyburbia. How much of the old site can be restored?

Ok, this is scary. On the regular site, I donít exist. No one with more than 100 posts existed. *I was lost in a world of cyber purgatory.

How is everyone? And still no word from the place that I applied.

None of us exist... The db of the forums got corrupted and deleted us...

Now why only delete the users with more than 100 posts? beats me... But also remember that threads got deleted and that could have lowered the post count...

Please go to Announcements and the Should Dan Stay, so we can show him that he does not need to rush home on our account and that we will be ok.

Funny. Just this week I heard from a couple places. One was a California community I sent an application to back in March, saying that my qualifications did not match... well, California does not hire from out-of-state, so that is no surprise. The other one is from a community I flew out to interview with back in April, and never sent me anything to let me know what was going on. They wanted my social security number so that could complete their reporting. Guess what? They won't be getting it.

It seems like the mods haven't been around as much. I know I haven't. Something called work has been keeping me relatively busy.

There are several people who have not shown up at the emergency shelter, who are regular posters.
