    Secret Santa 2005

What I'll need from the interested parties is the following info PM'd to me. (put Ssanta in the title for ease)

Screen Name (won't be sent to your recipient, they have to guess)
    Real Name
    Mailing Address

    Answer the following:

    Favourite colour
    favourite music
    favourite animal
2 ply or 3 ply (no idea why it is important, but it was suggested)
Who you most want to get a gift from (why in less than 50 words) - to be shared with your SS
Who you least want to get a gift from (why less than 50 words) - to be shared with your SS

    2 other interests

Last year the limit was $10, lets keep it about the same.

I'll need to know by October 26 if you are interested. I'll make the draw and circulate to everyone by the first of November. Last year we did it in November, so this is really early. We are as bad as the department stores now.

If you played last year and remember who your SS(giver and receiver) was also include the persons screen name so you don't get the same person twice

This year I promise I won't lose people's info, the new larger mailbox will make it easier.

Will a mod please make this a sticky.

Here are a few links from last year

What is this ply you speak of?

dictionary.com leaves me just as clueless...
To use diligently; wield: ply a knitting needle.
To engage in diligently; practice: plied the carpenter's trade. See Synonyms at handle.
To traverse or sail over regularly: Trading ships plied the routes between coastal ports.
To continue offering something to; ensure that (another) is abundantly served: plied their guests with excellent food.
    To assail vigorously.

    v. intr.
To traverse a route or course regularly: The boat plies between the islands on a weekly schedule.
To perform or work diligently or regularly: plied at the weaver's trade for 20 years.
Nautical. To work against the wind by a zigzag course; tack.

I'm definately in this year I liked it last year and I think I can come up with a better gift, also I now have an address here in Santiago (that means my gift gets to me at least a week earlier), and I now know that we DO have Postal codes (but are way too unknown)

Sent in the questionnaire for your review and distrubtion, Mr. donk.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

The SS draw has been made.

Expect your name in the next few hours.

This year I'll be more careful about keeping the list safe to protect afainst dead beats.

Very interesting clues = challenge of finding, let alone selecting a gift.
extra effort - yes indeed worthy.

Everyone I have info for should now have their Secret Santa's

If you have any questions please send them to me. and I'll see what I can do.

I ended up removing some information, and adding other pieces to make things more fun, I had to juggle the list 3 times this year to make sure peopel got stuff from people they don't know or have not sent to/received from in the past.

    Have fun.
