I have the best job I could ask for at this point in my life, however I'm blessed with a boss who is a micromanager and we could really subsist without him.
Anyway, My boss is a know it all. He talks and talks and talks about everything and he knows everything (so he thinks) but a lot of what he says is hard to disprove or so trivial that it isn't worth looking up. Like today in our staff meeting we were talking about the NY Jets moving training facilities to New Jersey. My boss says, "yeah they'll look at 3 or 4 sites buy them all up and just land bank the rest because the owner of the Jets is in real estate" now, I can't disprove them buying up several sites but the owner of the Jets was Leon Hess (Hess Gasoline) and is now in the hands of Mr. Johnson (J&J) neither of which had real estate divisions. This is just one example of what goes on daily.
But this thread isn't about a b!tch session but I want to know if there is a phobia or syndrome or whatnot that is associated with having to have all the answers (right or not). I don't think my boss has a fear of being right because he makes some outlandish comments but if you confront him about something he'll make up the worlds best excuse as to why he thought that way... really really frustrating to deal with.
