What Ten Things Do You Like About Yourself?

I got this idea from another message board and thought I'd share this interesting challenge with you all Cyburbians. It can be your physical, emotional, psychic, mental, or the like state of yourself. It can be achievements that you're proud of. Try to put aside your modesty for a bit and share a bit who you are.

So, what are the ten things you like about yourself?

Okay, to be fair, I'll start. In random order...

    1. I do like myself.
    2. I still did well in my academics despite not starting learning my first language until I was 7 years old.
    3. I like my curly hair, something that I once disliked.
    4. I have a very good memory. Just put on some Beethoven music and I'll study away a bunch of things in 30 minutes and I'll amaze you what I've memorized!
    5. I like how I can sleep at nights without ever being awaken by noise.
    6. I like having a quick mind and being able to learn something without too much difficulties.
    7. I like my multi-coloured eyes.
    8. I can do cartwheels, skip rope, double dutch, and pogo ball.
    9. I like the fact that I can listen to and appreciate music.
    10. I like how I can type really fast without having to look down on the keyboard ...so that this task wouldn't take me a half-hour to complete.

    So, the dare is on!

The Bear ambles out of the woods and speaks.....

    1. Open-minded. Yes, our minds can get changed if we put away all the "stuff" that inhibits and restricts.
    2. Blue eyes. Beautiful blue eyes. That and 50-cents will get me a cup of coffee.
    3. Emotional. I try to pen this emotion thing in. But it still lurks.
    4. Ability to get along with anybody......white, black, skinny, fat, olde, young, friend, foe, smart, dumb, rich, poor, etc. etc. etc.
    5. Ability to see the "big picture". Cause and effect.
    6. Broad-shoulders, tall....when the weight is down, not so bad for a 57-year olde.
    7. Know when to STOP when it comes to alcohol. Almost always this Bear is the "designated driver".
    8. Cyburbian traits. (I don't know it all but I feel I have a good grasp of what the hexx you people are talking about. )
    9. Great outside jumper.
    10. Organized. (How else could I develop De Noc and hundreds of pages of organized fake city.)
    11. Ability to change the rules. (Good cook.)
    12. Ditto. (Eclectic musical tastes.)

Okay, I'll play, but a lot of this comes only because of recent experiences so bear with me...

    1. I can multi-task like a pro.
    2. I type fast without looking down too often, so ditto Hceux.
    3. I have an odd sense of humor.
    4. I have a pretty damn good memory.
    5. I'm able to forgive.
    6. I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight 2 weeks post-baby...but this isn't to say I can't wait to get back to working out and trying to lose more...
    7. I was able to use hypnobirthing to get through over 27 hours of "labor" before asking for the good drugs (yeah, 11 minutes of pushing was my reward! I earned that!).
    8. I was blessed with good skin and I remember to wear spf to keep the sun from damaging it (see, that's the memory working for me).
    9. I can't type this one out because I'd be censored.
    10. More important than #5, I'm able to admit when I'm wrong and be the first to apologize.
When Jesus said "love your enemies", he probably didn't mean kill them.

I'm not sure I can come up with 10. I'm probably not that fond of myself.

    1) I'm a good mom (as evidenced by the fact that my oldest child -- who has a form of CF -- has not been on antibiotics for over 7 1/2 years).
    2) I type okay.
    3) When faced with two evils, I am pretty good at choosing the lesser evil -- thanks to life handing me lots of opportunities to practice.
    4) Actually, sometimes when faced with 2 evils, I manage to refuse both and come up with a third alternative.
    5) I'm not vindictive, even though I suppose I "should" be based on my early experiences.

    Um, that's all for now.

    OK, I'll try it.

    1. I'm very organized.
    2. I write well -- something that's helped me both academically and professionally.
    3. I'm empathetic, a good listener and a good friend.
    4. I don't have an addictive personality - unlike some of my peers from high school and college, I've never had a problem with drugs or alcohol. (I don't really know why, as I experimented as much as everyone else did.)
    5. I'm resourceful - I know where to go to find information.
    6. I can handle responsibility... this is probably because I was forced to do so at a relatively young age.
    7. I'm a dedicated worker and tend to be loyal to my employer (I've had only 3 jobs since I finished graduate school in the late 1980s).
    8. I like the fact that I have strong beliefs about the environment, my community, human rights, etc.
    9.

Uh-oh, I'm running out. I'll have to think about this some more.

    3. I am a great shopper, I can sniff out the best deal given the time.

Would I like to list ten things about myself? I'm a frayed knot.

But I think my best quality is that I'm a fungi.

    1. My sense of humor, although a little twisted. I'm good at cheering people up and getting them to laugh.
    2. Fast on my feet: I'm never at a loss for words and can always come up with a humorous smart ass response.
    3. Killer work ethic (I know this seems inconsistent with my post count )
    4. I get along well with technology. I can usually fix problems and am a pretty fast typer (probably how I accomplish #3 with my post count).
    5. I'm civic minded, often volunteering or donating money to lots of charities.
    6. I'm a good writer.
    7. I'm not a bad looking guy. I've finally learned how to make my curly hair behave.
    8. I've got a knack for interior design, which I nearly majored in. This has proven quite useful both at work and at home.
    9. I'm intensely loyal to friends, no matter what stupid things they may do or whoever else deserts them.
    10. I'm mature without being a total bore.

I could go for a while on this list. For someone that used to have pretty bad self-esteem, I've made a remarkable turnaround.

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

    1. I like that I am not water soluble and am generally known to retain form when wet.
    2. I like that I have the balls to be cranky in this prozac world. Super happy funland is well and good, I guess, but not to the exclusion of talking about things that need to change.
    3. I like that I'm done complaining and am applying to change programs.
    4. I like that I resist the urge to partake in stupid and shameful activities.
    5. I like that I read about and have a working knowledge of a wide variety of things.
    6. I like that I want to read about and have a working knowledge of a wide variety of things.

I don't really feel like thinking of four more items. I've got other things to do.
