How do you handle NIMBYs? Well, apparently if you are in China, you open fire.
Despite being an economic developer, I think this is a little to draconian. I have rarely advocated killing th eopposition, and I doubt it is what APA had in mind when it launched its effort to educate Chinese planners.
Is it still appropriate for APA to be engaged in its Chinese effort? Are we lending credibility to this kind of abuse, or are we helping to enable local populations to play a greater role in planning decisions?
