    Rat Leave

Well, in a first for me, I just approved rat leave for one of my employees. It seems one of his little kids got too affectionate with his new pet rat and caused a compound tail fracture (the kind where the broken bone sticks through the skin). He's taking half a day off and paying $60.00 for surgery on a five dollar rat.

Apparently there are rat surgeons out there.

I would have been happy to give him one of the rats from the crawlspace under my house for free.

I think it's time we start taking legal action against exterminators on behalf of those cute rats.

Actually, knowing the little kid, the rat probably will be the one needing the shots.

Awesome. Now I can *finally* take Crabs leave!

EDIT: To get my pet crab "fixed" of course.

Great news, everyone! The rat surgery was successful and the rat is doing fine. Ratboy appreciates all your concern and prayers.

If anyone else had posted this, I would think they were kidding.

^-- My thought exactly. In fact, he probably could have taken the maimed rat down to the snake store and earned himself a buck or two.
