Lake Superior State University has just published the list of Banished Words & Phrases for the year 2009. After making the national and international news for 3 straight years, this Bear did not get a word or phrase on the list.
But.....I tried!
I had 4 submissions and also submitted a couple more for a couple friends. Here are the words/phrases that I tried to get on the 2009 list.....

I just submitted a phrase for the 2011 list. Can this Bear do it again? Not sure, sure hope so. I have another to send. The leaves will start changing colors and the deadline for submitting words (or phrases) quickly approaches.

As we welcomed in 2010, a few Cyburbians vowed to join in the fun by submitting words "to be banned", for inclusion on the 2011 list. This Bear has submitted a few. As always, I will anxiously wait the published list to see if my name and selection can be sent world-wide. Those who thought about it.....get crackin'!

The Banished Words list for Year 2011 has just been released. This Bear was not listed as a submitter for any of the words. One of the words/phrases that I submitted was listed but I wasn't acknowledged. Have to assume that with about 10,000 submissions a year, some words/phrases only list a few submitters. My submissions this year.....

So, with this strikeout today, I am now at 4 acknowledged submissions in a 6 year span. On to developing and sending the next list, for 2012.
