I am researching possible approaches to conditioning a proposed use involving a shooting preserve. It would involve sporting clays but also live birds--shotguns but not rifles. Issues already identified include safety, escaped birds, environmental impact of lead fallout, noise, access to site, ammunition storage, and hours of operation.
If anyone has dealt with a similar use, please respond. I'm interested in any local regulations or conditions of zoning/use approval you may have placed on such a use given the above referenced issues. Any help or perspective appreciated.
