F-ing Hallmark holiday . Waste of my mutha-humping money .

    Going cheap this year.

    It's going to rain today.
A guy once told me, "Do not have any attachments, do not have anything in your life you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you spot the heat around the corner."

ZBA meeting and going to dinner with two former co-workers, before the meeting.

    Romantic, eh?
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

Just as romantic as tv/couch all night
If I am feeling energized I MAY take the boys to Chucky Cheese or Tumble Drum so they can play and have a fun night, otherwise it is the tv and couch for me tonight...
I almost wished I had a meeting tonight so that I didnt have to think about this stupid holiday...I realized I don't even have any single girlfriends to go out with tonight if I wanted to
You have fun at dinner and ZBA

What is this Valentines Day that you speak of ?
It is a Conspriracy by the
Floral, Candy, Jewerly, Greeting Card, and Lingerie Companies.

Yes, that is right I do not have a S.O.

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

One of my friends mentioned "Singles Awareness Day" to me on the phone last night. I chuckled and asked when that was. She said Monday.

    Oh, duh.

I don't understand what's the big deal for valentine's day.
All chocolates (actually a bad gift for women....) flowers, jewlery, etc... triple the price these days.
Thinking of a nice romantic dinner? Too bad EVERBODY is thinking about one, so if you find it romantic to wait endless hours in a restaurant just to eat some rushed up lousy dish, go for that.

And no, I'm not bitter for being single...

Going to a really nice restaurant about a block from City Hall. There serving some pretty fancy stuff that I can't pronounce, but hey, it's all good.

My parents are apart on V-day for the first time in 36 years. Mom is not taking it well.

I bought the Mrs....Star a very nice watch. She'll probably get a little upset with me for spending more money. However, it's our first V-Day as husband and wife.

That's not good. I had the same thing happen to me a couple years ago...

and actually there was an article in the paper saying how a lot of breakups occur on Valentines... probably not what you care to know about.... sorry
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

It is just another Monday night; so what is the big deal about it any way.

Except there is no Monday Night Football or NHL.

Hey, it's my first V-Day alone in 13 years!!!!

    I did some grocery shopping,
    Chatted with Queen B,
Watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail,
    Visited Cybubria,
    Practiced the banjo,
    Played LaCrosse, and
Now I can't get to sleep.

It's time for a Vodka and Orange juice.

You and I ought to hook up in western Missouri to compare notes.

    Valentine's Day

Is it too early to start thinking about this Hallmark Holiday from hell? ZG and I have agreed to limit ourselves to a card (and maybe a small gift to "save both of us some shopping angst" (her words that I completely agree with)). What are your plans?
