Glad to have found this place

I've been looking for an urban planning forum for about six months now and am really happy to have found this place, as the posters here seem to present interesting and intelligent opinions and have actually opened up a window for me to see the way planning works in the real world.

I am currently in my third year of an undergraduate program in Environmental Studies at York University and am interested in planning because I am currently in what is called the Urban and Regional Environments stream of my particular program. I only know the very basics about planning right now, so I hope to learn a lot from the more experienced and knowledgeable members of this forum. I am only 22 years old, which probably makes me a lot younger than many of the members here, although I still hope I can make a contribution to the discussions.

There are plenty of younger folks here. And some folks who are older are still going to college and what not.

    Welcome aboard.

    Welcome, from Northern, Virginia.
I actually have family out in Mississauga, Ontario.
Anyway, I'm sure you will find most of the forums to be very enlightening, I sure have.

    Welcome from the Florida panhandle.

You're not the youngest. Rumpy just turned 15 yo but he contributes nothing. (Kinda like me.)

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

Welcome! I was 22 when I started in planning with and internship and LOVED IT.

My undergrad degree was in environmental studies (20 years ago! yipes - SUNY-ESF) and I went the planning route too and am relatively unscathed...

    Welcome from NW Ohio.

We look forward to you joining in, asking questions, giving us another point of view. Lots of knowledge hanging around these Cyburbia University hallways.

Word to the wise, though.....ignore the FRIDAY AFTERNOON CLUBBE. No adults allowed there.

    Welcome from Minnesota.

I don't know if anyone has done an average age, median age, mental age, and "feel like" age poll yet, but it is something that might happen here.

Welcome from the far northwestern suburbs of Chicago!
And BTW, I'm 18. You're really not that young...plenty of twentysomethings (and those who just act like it) here.
