Staples Center vs. American Airlines Arena vs. Philips Arena

Which arena has the coolest architecture or design: Staples Center (Los Angeles), American Airlines Arena (Miami), Philips Arena (Atlanta)?

I think Atlanta's Philips Arena has the coolest design.

Can you post picks of them? I've seen the Triple A on TV, but never had a good look at the others.

What about the AAC here in Dallas? Or Conseco Fieldhouse in Indy?

    Hmm....

Yeah, I'd like to see the Staples and Phillips before I vote.....The great thing about AAA is the water and views.

You need another poll: Which has the most obnoxious name?
Reality does not conform to your ideology.

Another possible poll would be which took the most tax money to build, or which had the sleaziest pro-arena campaign?

I'm actually not a big fan of Staples Center -- the pitch of the seats in the lower level is extremely flat and horrible for hockey (below average for basketball too) -- and the legroom is as bad as any arena I've been to.The upper level is in another stratosphere, as there is a wall of luxury boxes about 40 feet high between the levels. The concourses go from very wide on the sides to extremely narrow on the ends -- particularly the end adjacent to the Convention Center.

The AAA has a beautiful waterfront setting, and while I have only seen it on TV, it looks like the sightlines are pretty decent.

Philips Arena has no upper bowl on one side, instead putting all luxury boxes there. Although it gets rid of the wall of luxury boxes around the arena, to me, it creates a vacuum on one side of the arena as far as atmosphere -- and it also means most of the upper level is on the ends. Not good for hockey fans who hate looking through safety nets, not good for basketball fans who prefer watching from the side.

To me, I'd take the AAA.
