    Pasadena question

Does anyone know where I could find some specific information on what Pasadena is doing to encourage new urbanisim and less car dependence?

Urban Land Institute has published summaries over the past couple of years. Or, you could google Pasadena and Urbanism http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

If you've got the time you should ride the Gold Line from Downtown LA into Pasadena. I still lived in LA when it was completed and while I think that commuter ridership has never really taken off, TOD's were planned around some of the stations.

    Pasadena

First off, I would try contacting the City's Planning Dept. They have the new Gold Line as well as the Holly Street Apartments which is supposed to be a a Transit Oriented Development. Also, you might want to contact (via email) Professors Hollie Lund and Rick Wilson from Cal Poly Pomona. They did some research projects on the topic and included some info on Pasadena. Theres also some student projects in the Environmental Design Library at CPP you might want to take a look at specfically on that subject.
