Welcome from the Hoosier State along the Ohio River.
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
    From Electric Horseman (1979)

    Welcome from NW Ohio.

Without a doubt you will enjoy your stroll through Cyburbia's interesting neighborhoods. You will walk past panhandle lovers (just in time for V Day), ex-Jersey dudes, desk fort inspection centers, ocassional shouts of "Zen and the art of bicycle maintenance", a tall stack of Illinois "homies", cartoonish characters (Stan and Stan), and the more-normal Cyburbian residents who just sit on their front porch, rock in the white swing, and shake their fist at those of us who dare to be different.

Oh.....wait a minute.....you are a transportation planner and I am rambling about you taking a "walk". Never mind.

    Welcome.

Good afternoon from currently snowy sw Michigan
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Welcome from Minnesota. Did I mention that steel wheeled SAFEGE monorail is faster than the dreaded Alweg monorail or light rail?

Oh, never mind. Get settled in and take it easy.

    Ouch!

I never mentioned what kind of transportation planning I practice. At the moment, I'm either hard at work on beyond-the-third-dimension transportation planning or perhaps the even more wacky realm of transit planning in the Midwest... Thanks for the welcome - I'll try to remember to honk before I pave over anybody.

    Hi from central Florida.

Excuse Bear. His brain is wired differently from the rest of us.

Oh, and I run one of the desk fort inspection centers he noted. Please call if you find any violations in YOUR workplace...

Thanks for all of the welcomes! I've been lurking for a while but finally took the plunge. Nice to see such a range of places represented, and perhaps some of y'all can give me more insights into the Midwest...
Planderella, guessing that you're in LA? Hurrah for planners in my home state! Must be an interesting time.

Anyway, glad to be here! I'll toast the welcome with some of KC's finest Boulevard wheat !
