    Hi!
I've been looking for a place like this for a while.
I graduated a year ago with a masters in planning and now work in Minneapolis in economic development.
    Anyway, glad this is here!

Welcome from a burb of Washington DC
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

What he said except for the time zone.
Everybody knows the right time zone to be in is the Central, right.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

Howdy and welcome aboard. I currently work at Kmart.

    Welcome from sw Michigan!
You'll have to give us the inside scoop on Garrison Keillor....
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    Hey, another Minnesotan!

You might want to put me on ignore, as I'm something of a pest.

You will change peoples minds I'm sure. Not all Minnesotans are monorail wackos.

Thank you for joining the fray. The pit never gets full and the mud just gets stickier.

I must get back to work now.

Minneapolis is a great place to be working...I almost ended up at the HHH Urban and regional planning program there, but alas, I inadvertently moved to Texas instead.

    Welcome, from Irving, TX!
