    Berkeley, MIT PhD Any News?

I know that this is largely a Masters crowd, but has anyone heard from either Berkeley or MIT for PhD admissions? Any idea if they've started making calls?

    Ah.....

I love the sound of those intellectual class distinctions:

My new business cards will have "masters crowd" after my name......

You're right, this master has no information for those PhD types

    Mr. One...

I'm sorry that you're so insecure about your Masters status. I kinda like mine.

Considering that there are literally hundreds of posts regarding admission into Masters programs (hence, "Masters crowd") and only a tiny handful concerning PhD admissions, it seemed reasonable to acknowledge that I might be asking for information from helpful people who couldn't help me.

And by the way, you realize that your extreme attention to this forum belies your cynical, caustic, "disinterested" stance, right? Methinks that you need us more than we need you. Cheers.

I have been STRONGLY considering applying to Berekely in the next year or so either in the PhD program in Urban and Regional Planning, or the Master of Urban Design (that would be my 2nd masters degree). Either way, I know I want to go to Berkeley and feel the academic environment there is unparalled (even when compared to Penn, Harvard, and Cornell).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe Hudson was trying to make you smile...

Better check your response more carefully next time.
