Some people are a bit thin skinned, but I do know of a handful of planners, besides land use, transportation & environmental that are half way attractive. Even 1 or 2 of them might even be considered 'hot'.

Speaking from the GIS profession, we're largely an ugly bunch

We, as a group, are much better looking than Engineers!!!!

We have some good looking planners here in the US. I have seen a few at some conferences and laefests.

There are butt-ugly people in every profession. Except drug salespersons who visit doctor's offices. They are always hooker material (male or female!). I read an article in the paper a couple years ago about how they can people who are no longer extremely attractive.

Wow ... I'm not the only one that noticed that. Every time I'm at a doctor's office when a pharmaceutical salesperson stops by; they're ... well, I wouldn't call them "hooker material," but more like high-end gentlemen's club material, at least for the women. The few men I've seen look Abercrombie-esque.

My sister is a drug rep - and she's 6', average build, and beautiful.

My sister-in-law is a pharmaceutical sales rep, and I wouldn't say she looks like a high-class escort. She's attractive, but no more so than any other attractive woman in everyday professions.

You forgot to describe one important attribute - marriage status

Marriage status and vital statistics as well. But that's just for us shallow folk.
    Forechecking is overrated.

Just kidding - we are close, but not that close. Besides, she's (happily) married with a baby.
