I was accepted to both Berkeley and MIT. No word yet on funding from either. I currently live in the Bay Area but I'd like to live in the East Coast after grad school. Not sure what to do...
Anyone else in the same situation? Or can you provide any advice? Thanks!
sit tight til you get funding. if you want east coast, MIT will make it easier to get a job there later. they're both great schools.

I'm on the waiting list for funding at MIT and in-state tuition for Berkeley is pretty reasonable. MIT looks like the stronger program and is closer to NYC (where I would like to end up!) But I enjoy living in the Bay Area and don't want to limit myself in the future by carrying so much debt....
Tough decision.
