Hi All -
I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself. I'm a landscape architect & planner, with roughly 10 years of experience. I've got a varied background, but mostly development planning with a touch of NEPA, GIS, and military base planning thrown into the mix. I'm orig. from Arkansas, have a BLA from the UofA (Go Hogs!), but have worked in a range of places from NW Arkansas to Montana to Northern VA. I came out here to Portland last summer for a change of scenery.
I'm probably headed to Athens, GA for a MLA starting this August. The MLA will allow me to teach landscape architecture, which has been my eventual goal since my undergrad days.
I'm interested in that realm where landscape architecture & planning overlap - designing communities. I'm interested in how the built environment can influence the creation of positive / healthy / liveable communities.
