Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Great idea Dan maybe this will help get the APA etc to take notice.

I just have to say that I am shocked that I have nearly 40% of my posts in non-FAC forums

I'm not schocked, but I also have about 40% in the FAC.

But will this really have the affect of garnering more respect from APA, etc.? Most of the activity will still be in the FAC, even though the post count isn't affected.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Well, I think this is a great thing. Finally all of the post padding crap in the Random Thoughts thread is eliminated and the Clube means something again.

This was a good move, Dan. It'll definitely promote more posting in the serious forums and lend more credibility. At the same time, it keeps the social outlet in place.

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

    I'm outraged!
Guess I need to start some polls on the Land Use, Zoning & Development Control forum like: "Which do you hate most about code enforcement - 1. mean dogs 2. b*tchy neighbors 3. unapologetic violators or 4. civil libertarians (choose one)."
Perhaps the Design, Space and Place forums can look forward to some new threads like: "What's your favorite color of building?"
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    I like the idea!

I wonder how much of an increase in posts will occur in the other forums now? I ask that because I see what I consider to be a lot of number chasers in the FAC usually. I'm hoping everyone makes worthwhile posts in the regular forums and not short, do-nothing posts just to get a number.

    Nice move Dan

Yeah, well, I did the math.... People here talked about 40% of their posts being in the FAC... well.... I am not sharing my percentage.

However, as with all post count amendments, I think that this is actually a good thing. And like prana said, it'll force more postcount chasers into the other sections of the forums.

I for one, have been trying to post more with reagrd to legit planning issues.

Prank or not I just wanted to say...

    You are all un-teh-Clubbbbbed

But I do like the idea. I think it will bolster counts in other forums and bring some discussions out of the FAC that belong in other threads.

Dan- Could you set two numbers for post counts like Posts and Slacking (for FAC posts)

I actually hope this isn't the case! What I REALLY don't want to see are postcount chasers just posting useless posts in the real forums. It's just a number people.

And your percentage is not actually able to be calculated, is it?

Yes, you are right, and I still agree. Next time I will pa attention to what I am saying.

As for my percentage? It was quite large. If you list my posts on the FAC, then that list will be almost as long as my-- well... it's long, we'll just say that.

How about giving credit if they relate to planning issues or job related life management problems, eg., "Anger Management"?
