2006 Major League Baseball trash talk thread!

It is Opening Day™ today and as I sit here listening to the Pirates @ Brewers home opener on the radio (what better way other than to be at the game??), expecting the Brewers to have a very good season with a real, legitimate shot at a playoff spot, I'm getting anxious to hear some goooood trash talk on the fledgeling season.

A stein of Wisconsin's finest for me when I hear it!

Gedunker's fearless National League 2006 predictions:

    East: Atlanta
    Central: St. Louis
    West: Los Angeles
    Wild Card: Philadelphia

    Atl beats Los Angeles
    StL beats Philly
    StL over Atl

StL beats ChiSox 4-2 in WS

My reservations about Milwaukee are Sheets' shoulder and how Prince adjusts to the Big Show. I like them to press for the Wild Card but fall just short.

I am discretely watching the Sox - Rangers opening game on MLB.com as I type. Looks like Schilling is back on top.

I will be in Baltimore to see the Sox at Camden Yards this Saturday.

This IS next year...you non-believers watch and see the Cubs go all the way!
Wood and Prior will be ready to roll in a few weeks and Zambrano will be incredible.

There is no way we can drop the ball again. The Cardinals are going DOWN this year...

P.S. Cubbies beating the Reds as we speak...but I'm not saying nothing until the fat lady sings...

EDIT: The fat lady is starting to warm up, Dunn just hit a homer. Tied 5-5...
    Bring on Spring Training...

    My only prediction is this:

Whomever comes out of the NL will get spanked by the AL in the World Series. I can't remember the AL ever being this deep with good teams (Chi Sox, Cleveland, Minnesota, Oakland, LAA, Boston, NYY, Toronto).

I'm listeinig to Nationals vs. Mets right now. What a great day, baseball has begun! Ms.P begins her depression today. We were watching the ChiSox vs. Indians game last night and getting ready to go to bed when the rain delay hit. I told her to go ahead and turn it to the Turner Classic Movies and then she said "I hope it rains every night." Poor thing, the things she has to endure.

    I'll go with predictions:

    NL East: Braves
    NL Central: Cardinals
    NL West: Dodgers
    NL Wildcard: Astros

    AL East: Red Sox
    AL Central: ChiSox
    AL West: Athletics
    AL Wildcard: Damnyankees

Cardinals and Athletics in World Series with St. Louis winning. But they play 162 games for a reason...

I'll be in Atlanta at the end of April to see them beat (play) the Mets.
    Cheers to all PLAY BALL!

    And Agony On Me, Woe

The Detroit Tigers have the pitching, the new Manager, and a whole new attitude to win!

    That said.....

The Detroit Tigers will most likely win 20 more games this year than last year. And still finish 4th, in the toughest division in baseball.

    2. Indians
    3. Twins
