    DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!!

Congrats to ICT/316, it is indeed Presidio, TX!

    The image was shot from:
    http://www.terraserver-usa.com/image...401&Y=8175&W=3
and was not rotated (north is straight up).

When I first came upon this city's images, I was just floored by how desolate it really is, the black and white Terraserver-USA images do that desolation and dustyness absolutely no justice. With only a couple of exceptions, the ONLY paved streets in the entire city appear to be the state highways.

A more recent and even more detailed full color image is at:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...4,0.017509&t=k

And the city across the Rio Grande (just to the west), Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, although bigger, doesn't look all that much better.

IMHO, this is one of the more interesting of the USA-Mexico border city pairs.

Chihuahua looks like a much nicer town, especially in the northern bits. It looks like a real neat village. They even have a square and some other things I can see there.

Presidio does look like a refugee camp though.
Reality does not conform to your ideology.

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

The ends can justify the means.
