    Welcome from the Hoosier State.
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Welcome, from the soon-to-be-former home of the Dallas Cowboys!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Welcome from the burbs of Washingon DC
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." Ben Franklin

Remember this motto to live by: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO- HOO what a ride!'"

Welcome from the state where trolls live below the bridge.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

OKC453, I was in your city a couple weeks ago. Bricktown looks as if it's starting to get a head of steam. The multifamily infill stuff will help out a lot. Also, the bombing memorial is very very sad and sobering. It was well done and everyone I've seen seems to be very respectful of the horrific events it commemorates.

Now if there were just a few more Segway's gliding around.

    Welcome

Glad to have you in town and hope you enjoyed everything! I love hearing about visitors' experiences and thoughts. I don't think I've been down to Bricktown since they added more Segways to the police/tour guide force downtown... Did you see quite a few? Bricktown's still plunging ahead in its own right, but the best part is that it has now begun to inspire other downtown districts to try to create their own revivals and economic boom-pockets.

    Welcome from north Texas.

Do you work for the City of Oklahoma City? (Is that redundant? City of OK City?)

I own and ride on myself. Actually, I've only seen 5 in "the wild" other than the one I ride. I've seen them in OKC (once), Kansas City (twice), Hutchinson, KS (once) and Bennington, KS (once).
