    Yet another *Anonymous* group...

    "Dating A Banker Anonymous":
    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/ny...28daba.html?em
    Snippets:
Theirs is not the typical 12-step program.

Step 1: Slip into a dress and heels. Step 2: Sip a cocktail and wait your turn to talk. Step 3: Pour your heart out. Repeat as needed.
Some women in the group said the men in their lives had gone from being aloof and unattainable to unattractively needy and clinging. Others complained of being ignored — one, who called herself A.P., wrote on the blog that three weeks had passed without her boyfriend “asking a single question” about her life. Another wrote, fearfully, that her beau had told her to make a list of their favorite New York restaurants before the bad market forced a move to the Midwest.
    Awe, poor babies.

    Wouldn't call it a date...
I picked up a little gift (Working Hands hand cream, the best!) and invited myself to drop by and drop it off, noting that this is Stalking Awareness Month. This was warmly received. Me too.

I need to host a Super Bowl party. Oh, wait, I don't watch TV. Nevermind!

You can't imagine how much I have absolutely no envy whatsoever of you folks out on the prowl. I'm simply too old for that action. And the mind games.

Notwithstanding, my best to all of you and I hope you achieve your goals.

Oh please. You were older than anyone on here except maybe BUN and ofos when we hooked up.

But you're right, old-timer, time to let the kids have their fun....

RJ, ^^this reads a little like a condolence card.

I've been a bachelorette by choice my whole life. I love dating. The idea of having the same S.O. for whole rest of my life... sounds very, very boring.

"On the prowl" doesn't describe me at all. (I guess you'd have to peruse my blog to see why.)

Basically, I go about my life and whatever happens happens. For whatever reason, men find me easy to approach and talk to. I never ask them out on dates. They either ask me or they don't. Whatever.

"Mind games" doesn't describe my dating technique at all. I truthfully spell out who I am and my relationship philosophy. I tell my dates where my blogs and message board posts are. Things end on a friendly note. We often become good friends.

The upshot, RJ: the dating life is not an unpleasant predicament for everyone. For some of us, it's a fine choice and lifestyle.

I guess that's why there's been the sudden surge in ads featuring Mr Mop stalking the housewife and singing "Baby, baby come back to me...". Damn stalking mops. (Not making light of stalkers, having been a victim)

that has been the general consensus among people who know me. but they were not so unmean and a bit more congratulatory.

the "mutual" dump" got undumped even though I think it is more friend territory.

Someone's SO is on a mission to help me find dates though.
