    Controling views in Hollywood.

Interesting article regarding J. Depp in Hollywood area. Sounds like he was not successful in taking it through the court system. I thought the article kind of hit the nail on the head when it says he wants to be able to see out, but doesn't want people to see in! I'm not familar with this project but I'm surprised this city does not have a height slope ratio or a lower height requirement to protect existing residents from this. Seems like in that area everything is done to protect existing vs future development...

This story made our fair newspaper's people column.
I guess it made the wire service because of his celebrity status and the community name involved.
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
    From Electric Horseman (1979)

    Yeah that'd be my guess.

Ehhh.....screw the whiney actor....if the local codes allow it than so be it.

Did you notice how the last paragraph of the article turned into a series of plugs for his movies....and that he was once "The Sexist Man Alive"?

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

What did you expect? It was an entertainment column, not a side bar on the "community" page.

....and don't forget to catch me in my upcoming role as a public moderator as I perform live in Peoria for 7 days at our upcoming Form-based code charettes! I was once voted sexiest man in my cubicle (2004). Roger Ebert gave it an ethusiastic 6 thumbs sideways. Gene Shallot just teased his hair.
Dude, I'm cheesing so hard right now.

But I have always held Yahoo! Entertainment articles to the highest standard for journalism.....the Associated Press be damned....

I thought he lived in France most of the time anyway, because Americans are too borish for him and he can more easily fumigate the air everwhere he goes with those damn cancer sticks. (Sorry, anti-smoking regs are one place where my closet libertarian remains firmly ensconced in the closet!)

View ordinances can go overboard. If you want perfect views, live in a unibomber hovel on top of mountain-don't make your neighbor go through four years of permit hearings to add a shed.
