    The Easy Button

This Bear spent all afternoon in a meeting. During the course of the meeting I slipped in a joke about using "the easy button" to solve a problem we were discussing.

A couple days ago, a friend from the Ohio State government, told me that Staples does....indeed.....sell "the easy button" that they often use in their television advertisements.

That said.....what would you use an "easy button" for today?

On a personal note, I'm pressing the button for help with Katie's son and his up-coming graduation party. It's been getting fugly.

One of my co-workers has had an "easy button" on his wall since before X-mas. It just feels good to walk by and press it and say "hi". If he or we have accomplished something, it gets a whack.

Don't need the Easy Button today. The Board approved both of my agreements and I didn't have to say a dozen words total!

It's like some higher power pushed the Easy Button on my behalf!

We have an Easy Button, as well. However, it went a little crazy and would startle those nearby by spontaneously going off at all hours. The solution? Take out the batteries! This way, you can still it a whack, but it doesn't drive everyone on this side of the building insane.
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

So, these Easy Buttons make a noise when you press them?

    It says "That was easy".

Some portion of the revenue Staples gets for selling them go to Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

    My easy button:

Professionally: Do the Environmental Impact Statement for the re-zoning we're proposing for the entire town.

Personally: Getting my 2 1/2 y.o. son dressed in the morning. a battle every single day. he'd wear his dinosaur pjs all day if he could. :sigh:

[ot/]Nothing wrong with dinosaur pjs. I'm actually wearing my own pair under my suit today -- board meeting days need all the help they can get[/ot]

Generalized future land use map: "click" done!
I always drag my feet on these. Why? This is a very large area in old part of town. None of the existing land use makes any sense.
