Have you ever noticed how people say something is “THE GREATEST EVER!” and they are very confident that they are right? For example, Maister mentioned that a place in Grand Rapids has the greatest ribs ever.
It made me wonder about what do you feel are some of the greatest ever? Things such as who is the greatest baseball player ever, what is the greatest movie ever, who is the greatest musician/ singer ever, or what is the greatest steak sandwich ever?

I have also noticed that quite often a restaurant or a club will advertise with the phrasing that includes "World Famous". Yesterday's Swanton, OH, newspaper (published weekly) had an advertisement for "Our World Famous BBQ Chicken" at the local VFW hall.
How does one determine "world famous"?
If I am in Paris, France, and run into a fellow Swanton resident and mention the good BBQ chicken, does that sentence kick the product into world famous status?
BTW.....tell Maister that the BBQ ribs I cook are the "greatest ever".

I think for the World Famous status to take hold, a Parisian would have to mention the BBQ Chicken in Swanton.
