There is a Fantastic book called "Heat Wave" about the 1995 Chicago Heatwave that killed hundreds. I can't think of the Author and it's at my school Library but it shou'dn't be that hard to find.
I never thought of that. I remember seeing it at the Chicago Historical Society bookstore
Fantastic book, i would reccomend reading it even if it doesn't fit your research as well as you like, though I'm sure it will. The University of Chicago puts out a good amount of Chicago/Midwest Books and there's some series that details a lot of very particular things in the midwest. I'd say your best bet would be to ask someone from those area's to go to a bookstore and look up "local interest"
Ordered a copy. Can anypne think of anything else?
