    Takings legislation

This may already have been a thread, but how many of you out there are facing Measure 37 copycat legislation this year? And is there any effort underway at the state level to deal with it?

It has raised its head in Montana and may be on the ballot this november...it's a two part initiative- limiting eminent domain laws (which everyone seems to like) and requiring payment for land devaluation due to regs.

    Anybody else dealing with this?

Napa County, CA voters recently rejected a measure 37 like referendum. Nothing in UT yet, but the developer loby is attacking the state enabling laws on a yearly basis and last year RDA's took a huge hit. I expect in the near future we will be facing similar measures.

Washington state is facing this. It's on the ballot here in november as well. Here is some good analysis on the measure Washington is facing:

Not alot of discussion that I have heard about it yet but as we get closer to November I'm sure it will become a big issue.
