Two cities debate birthplace of ice cream sundae

Headline and Article from the AP Wire:
    http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wi...gion-apnewyork

    Highlights:
Ithaca, NY and Two Rivers, WI. are feuding over the origins of the popular dessert.

On Monday, Two Rivers officials told Ithaca to stop claiming it is the sundae's birthplace. At Two Rivers' annual "Sundae Thursday" this week, the city planned to have attendees sing the "Ice Cream Fight Song," a new tune promoting the city's claim. Officials said they'll send a DVD of the song to Ithaca Mayor Carolyn Peterson.

Officials on both sides said it isn't clear yet how the "sundae war" will develop.
    Can you imagine such war.
I wonder how serious such a claim could be other than $$ for PR / bragging rights.
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Ripon, WI and Jackson, MI compete for the title of "Birthplace of the Republican Party".

    Ithaca?!?!? Give me a break.

    It's obviously Two Rivers.

Haha...I like Bear's comment too. I always thought it was Ripon though.

I always thought it was Evanston and it was called a "sundae" to avoid offending the fundamentalists there.
