University of Iowa Masters in Planning Degree

Hey all - my sister is applying to grad school for planning, and one of her schools is Iowa. She was intrigued by the concentrations they offer, but she really didn't know much more about it when I raised my eyebrows and said "Iowa?". Anyone familiar with their program?
    Thanks guys,
    Kelly

University of Iowa is one of those schools that makes the top 10 list in just about everything. Good school, but IOWA????

    U of Iowa rocks

Forget the planning prgram, the campus life in general is definitely of the higher calibre. I had several friends that went there and it's reputation is under-rated IMHO.

I'm a grad of that program so I can tell you anything that you want to know about it. It more policy than design oriented. Anything else just ask.

Iowa City is really a liberal island and is nothing at all like the rest of the State. Iowa as a whole isn't much different that Minnesota or Wisconsin. I'm not sure why we have the rep we do.
